My friend’s 5 month old son was just diagnosed with allergies to milk and their dog . With your son’s crying at night, I would just challenge your Dr’s to look into other things.

I haven’t… would there be associated symptoms that would be a telltale sign? Or can he have allergies and be completely symptom free?

Wow. It's totally possible that GERD has been the problem all along. My daughter has reflux (thankfully, it's beginning to go away), but for the first month or so of her life, it was REALLY difficult to get her to sleep at night, because she had terrible heartburn and vomited a lot. After a particularly harrowing night, we took her to the doctor and they gave us a prescription. After that, she still vomited and had heartburn, but it was mild enough that she was able to sleep.
