Project 365 {Week 1}

I joined a 365 photo project over at NapTimeMomTog.com, and today is the first day of participation!  I’ve never done anything like this before, and have been a little intimidated, but I’m also excited.  Follow the link (or click on the linky box) and check out some of the projects!

I haven’t been the best about taking pictures every day… and not every picture is very good.  I also forget until the late evening when the lighting is pretty poor, so my pictures have a lot of high ISO film grain in them.  I’m sure (or I’m HOPING) as I get more in the habit of picking up my camera, I will have MUCH better pictures taken throughout the day and not just as the last thing I do before bed.

Also, when baby girl gets here, I will probably have a different kind of motivation to pick up my camera every day.

You’ll notice on her page, Sarah has an awesome collage with all of her pictures laid in.  I will be doing this eventually, but I don’t have photoshop on my PC yet, so random pictures it is.  Here they come!

January 1st

Ronan has a little Cap’n in him.

January 2nd.

January 3rd.

I wanted to take a nice picture of Brock and this is what I got.

January 4th.

Why?  I don’t know.  The clutter is driving me crazy.  So take a picture of it!

January 5th.

Ronan was really excited for breakfast this day, and couldn’t wait to get up in his highchair.

January 6th.

My tummy, as seen by me.  I feel HUGE.

January 7th.

A little Ronan/Daddy cuddle time.  It blows me away sometimes how much they look alike.

And there you have it!  Obviously not my best photography ever, but some great pictures none the less.  I’m looking forward to doing this every week.  I hope you enjoy it!

    Hi! I’m visiting from the 365 link up. I love your belly
    shot. The light is gorgeous. If you want a cheap and easy way to
    create collages, check out picnik.com. It’s not as wonderful as
    photoshop, but it’s what I’m using for now.

    Looking great! I tried hard to take pictures of the boys
    every day for the first week, actually I think the first month.
    Then at least once a week for a while, making sure I got a picture
    of them on their monthly birthday for the first year. At some point
    I hope to eventually put them all together labelled like that. :)

    Love the belly shot! You look great from what I can see!
    And I get the same type pics when I try to take pictures of my
    husband. You could do a quick collage in Picasa also (that’s what I
    did this week – I’m still learning PSE). It is free to download and
    super easy to use.

    I am having the same problem about forgetting until right
    before bed. Like you, I’m hoping to get better about this as it
    becomes more of a habit! Until then, it’s grainy pictures for me! I
    love the “captain” shot, and your clutter shot could be my house.
    Drives me CRAZY. If it’s horizontal, it’s covered right now. And
    you don’t look huge, you look adorable.

    Oh! You look SO beautiful.Your belly might be getting big
    but the rest of you is still so tiny! Thanks for you comment on my
    blog :) I do get those effects through editing. I try to mention
    all of the actions I use in the posts for the individual photo of
    the day but you can create the same effect manually adjusting
    saturation and brightness (it just takes a lot more time) in any
    free program like Picnik or Picasa.

    You look beautiful! Great shots. We have the same Thomas train set and it always looks like that. God forbid my kids build with it. They prefer to leave the pieces lying around so I step on them. ;)
