I would have to say I have mixed feelings about the Mini.

And that is not to say that I didn’t have a great time, or didn’t get really excited about the car, or wasn’t impressed by all of the features.  That is also not to say that I didn’t have a good time driving the vehicle.  Mostly, the problem was just that Brock met me at the dealership, and was really stressed out, and I felt bad about dragging him there.

The dude that gave us the test-drive was kind of a jerk.  He was one of the nerdy types that was not only proud of his Mini, but he was so sure that his STYLE of Mini was the best, so that’s the only kind you would want too.  The “Standard” Cooper was enough power for him, so I couldn’t possibly need an S-series.

Brock drove the car around for a good while, as he is proficient in a manually-operated vehicle.  I drove for… 2 blocks.  Just long enough to put the car in first gear, then second, then pull a u-turn, and come to a stop.  That was enough for me!  I can learn to drive manual when I own it.  I don’t have to be a genius and figure it out on the test drive.

There were some really great features that I was excited about.  I like the console design, I LOVE the key (it’s a prox-sensor, so you don’t even have to have it in the ignition.  If it’s in your purse, that’s good enough!)   There is an on-board GPS system, and satellite radio… OH!  And LED lights through out the car that you can make whatever color you want!  I swear, this car was designed for Women and Nerds.

I am fairly sure this will be the next vehicle I purchase.  The real question is:  When?

On another note –

I don’t know how many people out there have been reading my blogs.  My footprints are up over 100 a day, and I’m assuming it has something to do with pictures and pulses that I’ve posted.  I don’t quite get it, but ok.

The thing is, if you are interested in what you read, or just think I might be an interesting person or a neat friend… I’m asking you to please NOT just send me a random friend invite.

I don’t know you, I haven’t met you, and I’m not here to collect friends.  I write because I love to write.  I read blogs of the people I care about.  If you want to get to know me or stick around, please… feel free to leave comments, send messages, take out subscriptions.  I’ll read what you’ve got going on, and if there is a possibility of honest-to-goodness friendship, then so be it.   Sign me up!

But random invites will always be turned down.  Just because that’s me.  Thanks!  ๐Ÿ™‚
